Build the perfect team
Gnome Arena by CyberStep purportedly uses PvP-style gameplay to give players a full-view of each character in battle. Players build their ideal teams and then take on challenging opponents.
Players will want to carefully study their characters’ classifications, powerups, abilities and more to build the best team possible for any situation. Moreover, there are over 100 unique spirits for players to choose from.
League matches and event competitions will give players the opportunity to compete against opposing teams for rewards.
These range from character shards to special in-game resources that enhance one’s team. Tournaments will thusly play a huge role in improving the PvP experience for all players.
Players who take advantage of their character’s abilities will find the most success in competitions.
More information on the game is expected to be shared by CyberStep when it is released for console and mobile devices. CyberStep confirmed it will provide more information on other potential platforms in the future.
History of CyberStep
CyberStep is a Japanese online video game developer founded in 2002. So far, the only two IPs are the GetAmped series and Onigiri.
GetAmped, known as SplashFighters in the West, is a 3D MMO fighting game released in 2002. The game pits chibi-sized avatars against each other. A sequel, GetAmped2, released in 2008.
Next up is Onigiri, a fantasy MMO released in 2014. The setting is a version of ancient Japan in which humans co-exists with Yokai and Oni. It is popular with both Japanese and Western audiences.
Gnome Arena is the company’s first new IP since Onigiri’s release.
