Tilting Point and Big Wolf Games released their collaboration, Narcos: Idle Cartel onto Google Play last week. Based on the Netflix popular crime drama Narcos. Gamers play the role of running a shady family business in Big Wolf’s idle sim, selling drugs similar to Cheech and Chong. This sim is like a comic and a telenovela mixed together. Players follow the story of a twin brother and sister. They find themselves as new cartel owners after discovering the secrets of their father’s business.
As you play through each chapter, you’ll need to upgrade your staff to keep operations running smoothly. Narcos: Idle Cartel upgrades include improving equipment, hiring more employees, and pushing productivity, an in-game resource you collect as you play. When you meet new characters, you collect them as cards. Each cut scene shows an episode of the twins uncovering the truth and choosing how far they’ll go to keep the business alive.
At the beginning you have to tap workers to prompt them to do their jobs. After a few upgrades, the game plays itself like any other idle sim. The music plays smoothly making idle playing relaxing. This is especially true after rebuilding your supplies after you have burned them down to hide incriminating evidence.
Narcos: Idle Cartel currently ranks as a 3.8 on Google Play, and gamers are enjoying the mobile crime drama scene by scene. Will it live up to the show? We’ll let you know in our upcoming HD review.
Thanks to our friends over at Game Freaks 365, who turned us onto Narcos: Idle Cartel earlier this week.
