For those who have been enjoying Wayward Souls, the excellent rougelike developed by Noodlecake studios, and have been craving controller support, well, the wait is over. Noodlecake has updated its magnificent dungeon crawler to allow controller support.
Most controllers that we tested default to normal generic controls and don’t offer much customization, but it’s a step in the right direction for those who just can’t deal with the touch screen controls.
In addition to the controller update, Noodlecake also released Mage Gauntlet, their previous iOS game, on the Android. This older title is reminiscent of Wayward Souls, but the atmosphere and level structure have a very Zelda feel with a heavy dose of humor.
Mage Gauntlet is available now for $1.99, and Wayward Souls is also on sale for $1.99, 66% off its original price. I previously reviewed Wayward Souls a few months back and thought it was a great game, and one of the best titles for the Android this year.
