Return of the Cult Classic
JUMANJI: The Curse Returns has found a home on the Google Play Store and launches on the 17th of November. Marmalade Game Studio worked to transform the 1995 cult classic film into a strategy game. Up to four players can join a co-op game to save the town of Brantford from the curse of Jumanji.
Just as in the classic film, Brantford is under siege from Jumanji. Players in JUMANJI: The Curse Returns need to solve a variety of puzzles and challenges. Only through doing so can the town be saved. There’s a combination of board-game mechanics, riddles, card games and dice rolling.
Four players are needed in order to beat the game, and through that, save Brantford. JUMANJI: The Curse Returns operates under the same premise as the cult film. Defeat the game and save your world. Players face a variety of obstacles, from rhino stampedes to Van Pelt to violent vines. New encounter modes, new defensive items and offensive items are also included. Marmalade Game Studio also promises new items with each subsequent update.
Three game modes are currently available for players. The first option is single player. The remaining options are online with friends and then online multiplayer. Players can choose one of six characters to play as and have full cross-platform capability. Marmalade promises that players will be able to seamlessly switch between mobile and desktop gaming.
