Avast Ye!
FunPlus, one of the largest independent game companies in the world, has recently soft launched their newest game, Sea of Conquest. Using Dolby’s latest innovations in entertainment technology, this game aims to provide an incredibly immersive experience into the world of pirates. Players become their own unique pirate captain on a journey to dominate the ocean, from Pirate’s Paradise to the Devil’s Seas. Chris Petrovic, Chief Business Officer at FunPlus, stated that “we strive to transform Sea of Conquest into a versatile IP seasoned with AAA features.” The game does have AAA writers involved, hinting at an engaging storyline. Additionally, Sea of Conquest is filled with magic, treasure and interesting opportunities as players explore the massive open world. Living a pirate life without actually being a pirate has never been so exciting.
Besides sailing and exploring, Sea of Conquest offers a wide variety of features to enjoy. Players can craft their cabins and customize their Flagships to make them stand out. After making the ships look fierce, players can recruit pirates to help them on quests and treasure hunts. These include Betty Sharp, the undead Sir Griffin, and even a two-legged shark and a mermaid princess. Navigate dangerous waters while engaging in battle against other pirates, troublesome Navy and even sea monsters. Gain wealth after defeating enemies and finding treasure chests to become the richest pirate around. Interestingly, there’s a Pirates Wanted system in place, meant for reporting abuse and/or unruly conduct. Considering games often attract toxic players, this system will hopefully keep any bullying to a minimum. A very forward-thinking idea from the developers.
The soft launch for Sea of Conquest is available in select countries such as Malaysia and will be available globally sometime this fall. Visit the official FunPlus website for more information and be on the lookout for a review from Hardcore Droid.
