Offering a juicy bite of a playful narrative, She Wants To Suck My Blood? is exactly what the title indicates. The Android visual novel features a Bishoujo romantic plotline. It is the USP of the Genius Studio Japan Inc who have combined an interesting bite of playful narrative with an easy-paced visual novel here.
The good thing about visual novels is the various possibilities within the narrative. Since the titles are aimed at casual game players, the sole focus lies in the way the story unravels. A good visual novel won’t leave you dissatisfied, since reading through gameplay can be as engaging as direct battle-based games. It’s all about the engagement and retaining the attention of the players. With that in mind, She Wants To Suck My Blood? introduces a good enough plotline with engaging narrative.
Something Old, Something New
This Android visual novel offers an attempt at a much-explored type of story. The protagonist, is a vampire hunter thrust into a mission to capture the icy vampire queen Camile. As a result, the plot of She Wants To Suck My Blood? is laced with romance because of the main Bishoujo characters.
The game has you choose between three love interests. Along with Camile, the plot also includes Trinity, who is a healer as well as a vampire hunter in training. There is also Nadia, a vampire butler, servant to the queen Camile. As the story unravels, you have the option to engage with each character and explore romantic dynamics.
But…
But it’s not that easy, you see. In order to have a genuinely interesting experience, one has to opt for premium choices. Almost all visual novels have this trap of paying for a more immersive experience. For instance, if you want to initiate anything remotely romantic with one of the three ladies, you have to pay for it through gems that need to be bought.
Do You Have a Choice?
Now, one might say that one can earn these gems through ads and such. However, the amount of gems earned by watching ads is very limited and in order to have an appealing experience, paying for the gems seems inevitable.
This has both good and bad sides to it. The game becomes redundant if you can’t go for the premium choice each time, because then the best possible narrative experience is out of reach. However, if you are willing to let go of romantic aspects of this visual novel and just want to explore the storytelling, this might work out for you.
The ending (without giving any spoilers) is interesting and one might even say unexpected. Of course, there are two different components to the ending of She Wants To Suck My Blood?’s endings. The first is about the resolution of the main mission of hunting vampires and rid the village from them. The second is the more personal and romantic one, where the player chooses amongst the three women and decides on their future.
So, Worth The Play?
The narrative is a yes for me, but the amount of premium choices is a big no. The main problem that I found with this visual novel was the fact that there weren’t many gems to begin with. This means that you cannot achieve the optimal storyline without spending real money. Without gems, the whole experience is bland, and that defeats the purpose of a visual novel. Essentially, I would have preferred earning gems to be easier or taken out entirely.

The narrative of She Wants to Suck My Blood? clutches your attention. However, the inherent nature of a gem based premium choices storytelling renders the gameplay bland. Furthermore, the lack of gems does not provide players with an engaging reading experience that this visual novel is really capable of.
