Nexon Korea have begun their world-wide closed beta for upcoming fantasy RPG Fantasy War Tactics, giving players a chance to check out the strategy based title before full release.
Korean developer Nexon has a reputation for building online games, currently supporting over a hundred titles in as many countries, including localised support and services for games like Counter Strike and Dota 2 in Asia, and behind popular free to play titles such as Maplestory and Combat Arms.
A self titled SRPG, or strategy role playing game, Fantasy War Tactics puts more emphasis on planning attacks and utilizing advantages to beat enemies. Cast in the role of a young wizard who seeks to conquer the world, players travel the realm eliminating opponents and meeting over 50 different heroes that can be collected and added to their team, each with lending their own strengths and abilities in battles. Players are able to flank and out-maneuver opponents, positioning themselves to attack weak points, and utilize the terrain to assist them in battle. They also have access to a variety of group attacks, special moves that are determined
by the strength and skills of your party, and can collect equipment and items to help them on the way.
