Blizzard’s notoriously addictive and enjoyable ETCG Hearthstone is now available for Android tablets.
Blizzard started a geo-restricted rollout of the immensely popular title in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, on Tuesday. The game has since been made available in every region, including the US and Canada.
If you’ve not played Hearthstone, the game is relatively simple. It’s a card battling game with a World of Warcarft motif. Players on Android will receive a free pack of cards after completing their first game. Hearthstone is also powered by Blizzard’s Battle.net, so the game should be fully cross-compatible with the iOS version in terms of sync and online play.
The game is free-to-play, with IAPs that come in the way of card packs, which you can buy to improve your own deck. Hearthstone is widely-regarded as one of the most fair and accessible free-to-play game available, so if you choose to forego the IAPs you won’t be terribly handicapped.
The game is also only compatible with tablets, with Blizzard stating a phone version may be in the cards next year. Check out Blizzard’s mobile sensation here.
