Conquering Albion
The mobile version of Albion Online has just hit the Google Play Store. Sandbox Interactive promised to deliver a mobile version of their hit PC title and they’ve delivered. To sweeten the deal, they’ve introduced cross-platform play to their server. Players can seamlessly access Albion Online from their PCs or their phones.
The MMORPG title is promised to have remained the same. It’s also been promised to not have massive changes to the game mechanics. Sandbox Interactive does have a gift to celebrate the mobile launch. Players who log into the desktop and mobile versions with the same account will receive a prize. This exclusive cross-play reward includes Tomes of Insight and a Chimera Riding Horse Skin.
This medieval fantasy title was designed to have a player-driven economy was first released in 2017 for PC. Players created all of the equipment and items traded in-game. Albion Online is now entirely free to play.
The sandbox game has a classless fighting system that makes switching skill sets easy. It’s the weapons and armor the player uses that determine skill set instead of player class. This freedom allows the player to adjust to any fight and opponent. Crafting and improving both weapons and armors can increase the player’s fighting capabilities. Switching out mounts to suit the situation is another way to increase skills.
Beyond fighting other players in order to conquer the world, there’s a variety of biomes available for exploration. These give the option for choosing a different type of conquest. Instead of a war-driven conqueror, players can focus on taking over the economy. Territories can be claimed and guilds can be joined, there’s no set path or storyline. Truly, an open world ripe for conquest.
