Genshin Impact will see a huge update with version 2.4, update “Fleeting Colors in Flight.” Coming January 5th, this update will bring exciting new events and areas to the game. Players will be able to explore the underwater nation of Enkanomiya and take part in the local Lantern Rite festival. These events also bring new bonuses, including a free four-star character and premium currency.
According to the game’s developer, Enkanomiya is a floating island found under the ocean. Here players can find ancient ruins of a past civilization lit by an artificial sun. You can also find new puzzles to solve and dungeons to explore in this underwater area. Monsters lurking in the deep include the pack hunting Bathysmal Vishaps and fire-based Fathomless Flames.
The 2.4 update also brings new characters to the mix. Both polearm users, players will be able to recruit the five -star character Shenhe who deals cryo damage and increases said damage dealt by the rest of the party. Likewise, the four-star character, Yun Jin, deals in Geo attack and increases the damage of your characters’ normal attacks based on her own defense. During the 2.4 festivities, players can also add older characters Xiao, Ganyu, and Zhongli to their party in their event draws.
During the prior mentioned Lantern Rites, new events and rewards await. By helping the locals in Liyue Harbor players will be able to earn 10 Intertwined Fates, a choice of one of eight 4-star characters, and the new “Orchid’s Evening Gown” skin for Ningguang
