What Lies Ahead in the Theia Sky Ruins?
Pokemon UNITE has announced that a new map will be available to all players next month in a recent trailer. Players will be able to visit the Theia Sky Ruins starting September 2nd, 2022. Players can visit the sky-high structure to participate in new Ranked and Standard battles and challenge the Legendary Pokemon Rayaquaza.
Pokemon UNITE released a trailer for the new map during the opening ceremony of the Pokémon World Championships. The official Pokemon UNITE YouTube channel later shared the trailer on social media for those who could not attend.
The map sits high in the sky and features a cloudy valley dotted with ancient landmarks. It boasts a host of new enemies besides Rayquaza, who sits at the center awaiting new challengers. A recent leak claims Rayquaza will affect the environment by changing the air currents. Reportedly players will receive a speed boost and shield that will make scores temporarily unblockable once he is defeated. Time will tell if this is legitimate.
