A Mysterious Ungael Island New Abilities
The first update for RuneScape‘s Necromancy season, “Ancient Awakening”, is officially out! The season launched earlier this year, and this new update allows players to delve deeper into the lore behind necromancy on the secretive island of Ungael!
Join forces with the mysterious warrior Raptor, the butler Aster, and Bill, the architect from RuneScape‘s previous Fort Forinthry season, in this new update. Players will need to explore the mysterious and dark corners of Ungael to unlock the secrets of necromancy!
There, they will discover a powerful ritual by the evil necromancer Zemouregal. If completed, it will spell devastating consequences for the world of Gielinor. Players will fight to stop the ritual during their quest and ultimately prepare for an epic new boss encounter coming in November.
Also featured in the “Ancient Awakening” is a new player-vs-monster combat mode called the Ungael Arena! This mode tests players on their necromantic combat skills against waves of Zemouregal’s minions. Completing each progressively more difficult encounter will unlock new titles and weapon cosmetics, including Raptor’s infamous outfit.
Explore An Expanded Area and Unlock New Secrets on Ungael!
“Ancient Awakening ” also expands the Fort Forinthry area with a Botanist’s Bench. This will help players prepare Necromancy potions for the upcoming boss fight in November.
