Galaxy Showdown
Smash through your enemies in an all-out intergalactic war. Warhammer 40,000: Lost Crusade lands on Google Play to give players a real-time PvP strategy MMO. Hong Kong developer Nuverse bought this latest version of Games Workshop’s popular miniature tabletop war game to mobile this month.
Warhammer 40,000 allows players to take up the role of a Primaris Space Marine commander. You are in command of a Battle Barge where you will train troops, recruit legendary heroes and play against other player’s armies. Each character you recruit has unique abilities and playstyles that will be inspired by the classic tabletop game.
As an MMO, this title also allows for players to gather resources that will help build a fleet of spaceships. Players must create a fleet powerful enough to clear the universe of anyone who dares to oppose the Emperor. Starting the game, you will pick between four heroes who are in charge of different Space Marine chapters. Each hero has its own class and skills that allow users to play how they want.
Flip The Script
Nuverse brings players an addition to the Warhammer franchise that will appease classic fans and create new fans as well. Warhammer 40,000: Lost Crusade is advertised to have all the characters and details that fans love. Nuverse also claims to have an immersive universe with breathtaking visuals including detailed 3D unit models. Between the heroes, combat and environments, all aspects of this title are purportedly crafted to pack a punch.
Warhammer 40,000: Lost Crusade managed to crush it on Google Play, getting a 4.2-star rating already. However, many players are complaining that they can’t spend enough time in the game. While they are away, enemy players destroy their army and base in the real-time PvP. This then requires them to spend massive amounts of time and resources making reparations. Luckily, developers respond to these reviews so maybe they can fix this issue for a more balanced game experience. Stay tuned for a full Hardcore Droid review.
