Best Android Games of February 2021
We all have favorites. Favorite foods, favorite songs, even favorite people. And when it comes to mobile games, some of us have hardcore feelings about our favorite genres. I’ll admit that I only download a select couple of genres onto my mobile device. I think it is time for me to branch out. I’m normally not one to do so, but February 2021 has brought us some real showstoppers from all genres. From deck builders and puzzlers to action RPGs and battle royales, are you ready to try something new? If so, Hardcore Droid’s list of the best Android games of February 2021 is a great place to start.

4. Door: Origins
This puzzle game by Snapbreak will pull you in with its intricate puzzles, but the depth and attention to detail is what will keep you playing. A lot of mobile puzzle games out there claim to be challenging and engaging but ultimately fail to deliver. Door: Origins is not one of them. The game has four levels, each complete with a clever theme. The first two stages, Workshop and Factory, are free to play while you’ll have to fork up some dough for the last two. However, that’s when things get really interesting.
The Hardcore Droid review compared Door: Origins to the film Inception because there are puzzles within puzzles. Additionally, each stage has various hidden scrolls and two gems for you to find. The scrolls outline the somber history about how humans were defeated by the very robots they created. Dive more in depth to this harrowing tale by unlocking two prologue stages with the gems you collect. Door: Origins’ elaborate puzzles mixed with dark undertones, sharp graphics and relaxing music will engage you for hours on end and will ensure that you never look at a door the same way again.

3. Astracraft
Astracraft has everything a gamer could want. From high levels of customization to competitive multiplayer options, NetEase’s builder shooter has it all. But, as they say, with great power comes great responsibility. To truly enjoy all Astracraft has to offer, you will need to complete the detailed tutorial and log some playing time because of the high learning curve. However, once you have mastered the mechanics, you are in for some serious fun!
Astracraft is like a “choose your own adventure” in that there is no one way to play. Your first task is to build the best ARMS, a.k.a. war machine, that you can. The high level of customization leaves lots of room for your imagination. Once the ARMS is complete, there are many ways to put it to use. You can spend your time playing solo in sandbox mode or join the online servers to compete in multiplayer games such as races, battle royale and king of the hill.

2. Titan Quest: Legendary Edition
Do you think the Greeks knew the impact their mythology would have on the modern-day world? How the union between Uranus (Father Sky) and Gaea (Mother Earth) that led to the creation of the Titans would become the plot of major movies, TV shows, books, video games and more? Could they have known that Titan Quest: Legendary Edition would become part of their legacy? I can’t say for sure if they knew or not (I mean, they had oracles), but I can say that I am jealous. Who wouldn’t want their life and beliefs immortalized on the Best Android Games of February 2021 list?
HandyGames’ Titan Quest: Legendary Edition is an action RPG. This single purchase title proves that big things can come in small packages. Customize your hero and embark on an adventure to save the world. Travel to Greece, Egypt, Babylon and China to battle mythical creatures. Collect special items and powers that will aid in your quest to defeat the ultimate enemy: the Titans themselves.

1. Slay the Spire
The best Android game of the month is Slay the Spire. The mix of roguelike and deck building makes this title developed by Mega Crit a must play. While Slay the Spire was initially released in 2017, it just came out on Android this month. At the beginning of each run, you choose one of four available characters to play. Each has their own set of cards and abilities. So strategizing is essential if you are going to make it to the top of the spire. As you climb the various floors, you will encounter a slew of enemies and bosses.
Combat takes the form of a turn-based card game. Each turn you will receive a new hand of cards from your deck along with a limited number of energy points. Each card requires a certain amount of energy to play. Once you run out of energy, your turn is over and you discard your unused cards. If you emerge victorious, you will be rewarded with cards, relics and—of course—being able to continue up the spire. Everything culminates at the top of the spire when you come face to face with the ultimate boss.
Because of procedural generation, no two runs will be the same. This element of change and randomness keeps the game fresh and fun. No wonder Slay the Spire has been nominated for so many awards. This is one game you will not want to miss.
