From Caen to the Rhine
British game publisher Feral Interactive has released a new DLC for the Android ports of their award winning strategy game, Company of Heroes. Relic Entertainment (a SEGA owned studio) has continued to improve on the original title since 2006. Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts is the second DLC to join the ranks of the original game.
The Opposing Fronts expansion pack has added two new WW2 campaigns to Company of Heroes. One of the campaigns is the British assault of the French city of Caen. The other campaign is based within the Rhine region. Its focus is on the German Panzer Elite attempting to stop the Allied advance. Unplayed campaigns aren’t the only new features. Feral Interactive has added new units, tactics and special abilities to the game. This includes the option to use British and Panzer Elite forces as playable armies in Skirmish Mode.
Company of Heroes was first dropped in 2006 by Relic Entertainment and it became one of the most well-known strategy games. The original title became highly acclaimed, as did its mods. Since then, the expansion packs of the war game have been re-released and new patches continuously added.
Something to take note of is that the DLC can only be purchased if the base game has been updated. The reason for that is because the expansion pack is available as an in-app purchase. The Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts expansion pack is priced at $3.99 and the base game at $13.99 on Google Play.
