Begone Humans
Fight hordes of humans and protect your homeland in Slime Battle: Idle RPG Game. Fanispan Limited, the developer, has over 20 games, like Shadow Knight or Summoners Era. In Slime Battle: Idle RPG Game, you’ll be playing as a slime seeking to protect their fellow slimes against the invading humans.
The gameplay is fairly simple, as idle RPGs go. You’ll enter battle, hordes of enemies will appear, and the slime will auto-attack them. There are stats to level up, powers to acquire and random boosts to make the slime more efficient. Besides the battle mode, you can enter the endless mode and the dungeons to farm materials.
Hail the All-Powerful Slime
There are two ways of leveling up. The first one is with silver when you are facing the hordes, and the second one is on the main menu with gold. There are three brackets: attack, defense and utility. In each bracket, you can upgrade four stats. The attack tab has base attack, speed, range and damage per meter. In the defense tab, there’s health, health regeneration per second, damage reduction and damage block. Finally, the utility tab has silver per wave, silver bonus, gold bonus and gold per wave. In battle, you can upgrade each stat for the duration of the battle with silver coins, which you’ll get by defeating humans. You’ll need to spend gold coins on the main menu to permanently raise the stats.
It’s an alright game. You defeat hordes of humans, gain coins, level up, defeat more humans and repeat. It does have special powers you can acquire in an RNG way each round, which will vary the way you deal with the hordes. Still, the difference could be better as to make the gameplay feel refreshing. The gacha doesn’t end there. On the store, there’s also a gacha option to unlock cards that will boost you when you equip them and different types of slimes. Both can be upgraded once you get enough of the same type.
Too Much and Too Little
My favorite part of the game, which says a lot about it, was how they handled ads. Even though I watched plenty, not once was I forced to. There are a lot of small upgrades and rewards that make the game experience better. All of which are locked behind ads. You can get coins, gems, double the rewards and cards to unlock and level up powers or stats. Since there are a lot of ways to spend gems or coins, you’ll always be short on money, which means you’ll gladly watch the short ads. There are a lot of packs to purchase if you don’t want to waste your time with ads, including one to get rid of the ads permanently.
Slime Battle: Idle RPG Game is a good option if you’re looking for another mindless idle RPG. You won’t have to worry about battling, only ensuring your slime hits and resists the damage. However, it will require your attention. It isn’t a game you can leave unattended because you constantly have to level up or you will die. Unless you have leveled up your base stats enough to stay alive. In conclusion, it will demand your attention but not your energy or your mind.
Hardcore?
Meh
Slime Battle: Idle RPG Game stands in a weird middle between idle and engaging without fully being either.
