10. Omega Legends
Currently open for pre-registration, Omega Legends from IGG looks like Fortnite on a sugar high. Fight solo or with a team against 60 other players after parachuting onto a variety of locations. Search for weapons, healing objects and defenses while running to safe zones and avoiding other players. The game ends when a single player or team is left, earning a hefty reward of experience points. A variety of characters to choose from, each with different powers, allows for potential unique gameplay every playthrough. Unlike other battle royale games, there’s no way to hide or even bend down in any environment. This makes the game faster and more nerve-wracking as everyone races not to die. Time will tell if Omega Legends lives up to its hype.

9. Street Boss: Shootout
A cartoony-looking title from WillBeFun, Street Boss: Shootout is a fun, one-click shooting adventure. Collect numerous guns and other weapons to take out enemies and powerful bosses. Play as a variety of uniquely designed heroes, each with their own set of skills. Earn rewards like cash to improve the heroes’ skills and even their weapons. Use the environment to avoid enemy fire and plan your next moves. If your hero dies, watch an ad to revive them. Though Street Boss: Shootout is visually appealing, a common criticism is that the ads don’t work, and the game is a bit buggy. Hopefully, the developers will address these issues soon.

8. Exile Survival
Banished from your tribe, survive the wastelands in Pride Games’ newest action title Exile Survival. Start from the ground up and explore to create your own warrior and, eventually, your own home. Craft items such as weapons to defend yourself against monsters and other players. Scour the land for materials and build your home to live and defend from those who wish to steal it. Hack and slash enemies in literal bloodbath fights to survive every day. Though a bit slow to start, Exile Survival looks to be worth the work.

7. Lootland
“Enter a world where the toasters hate you and the washing machine wants to kill you.” If this excerpt from the Google Play description doesn’t hook you, I don’t know what will. Battle man-made objects come to life in Lootland from Nitro Games Oyj. Gather a team of friends in multiplayer co-op to shoot enemy trash cans and even bulldozers. Once defeated, they explode and leave behind rewards and collectables. Upgrade weapons and armor for different colorful characters to help them advance through challenging levels. Lootland is still a very new game, so it has room for improvement, but there is a lot of exciting potential here.

6. Dead Spreading: Survival
Look for a lost Spec-Ops team in low-res zombie wasteland Dead Spreading: Survival from Youloft Games. Zombies scurry around an expansive map in hordes and surround you easily. Whatever you do, don’t stop moving or it will be death by zombies for you. Thankfully, there’s an arsenal of weapons to choose from to fend off the rapidly growing undead. They’re not typical weapons, however; shurikens, laser guns, miniature missile launchers and more are all at your disposal. Complete quests to earn XP and coins to unlock and upgrade characters to make them more formidable. Defeat large bosses for even more reward potential. Destroy the hordes before they destroy you.

5. Fist of the North Star
Whether you’ve heard of it or actually seen it, Fist of the North Star has had a massive impact on the world of manga and anime. Mega popular in the 80s and listed as one of the bestselling manga series, it stands to reason that FotNS would have game adaptations. Developed by Sega, in FotNS for Android you play as protagonist Kenshiro in a post-nuclear war Earth and fight enemies with over-the-top martial arts. Tap the screen to fight iconic villains and perform powerful combo attacks. The intensely detailed character designs and dramatic fight scenes feel like you’ve been transported into FotNS itself. And it should, as the original manga artist, Tetsuo Hara, oversaw the designs. The only general complaint the game has received is that it’s something of a cash grab. While that’s a bit problematic, the game can still be played without buying anything.

3. Raziel: Dungeon Arena
An RPG with over 60 dungeons, Raziel: Dungeon Arena from Indrasoft HK overflows with content. Beautiful graphics combined with an exciting single-player story mode make for an experience that’s hard to step away from. Fight monsters such as trolls and cyclopes to gain numerous rewards. These include gems, gold and gear, the latter of which can be equipped to characters to increase their power. Characters are divided into four classes: Beast Master, Ice Mage, Death Ranger and Puppeteer. Two characters at a time can be taken into battle as a main and supporting class. Though there’s limited customization, each character looks so stunningly unique and deadly it’s not much of a problem. Despite being described as difficult to start, with a lot of patience, Raziel: Dungeon Arena has potential to be worth the effort.
